Phase I of The Latino Medical Center Project, which launched December 2011 is focused on the Needs Assessment for underserved areas with a large latino population. Key objectives throughout Phase I are to define the community, identify the service area, perform community a analysis, estimate the health status and need for services, and assess current resources. A vital part throughout this phase is the need of generating broad community involvement including the sponsorship & partnership of health care providers and organizations.
The Latino Medical Center Project’s vision is to construct a federally qualified health center to improve the health of individuals and the health status of the overall community.
